Review Adalo’s current product information ↗Both products support visual app development. A useful comparison asks how each handles your specific screens and data, and what you must configure to put the finished app in front of users.
| Decision | AppStruct | Adalo | Try this |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interface and AI assistance | Arrange screens and components visually. Use AI-assisted component creation, then review the result and connect it to your app. | Adalo describes Ada as an AI builder for screens, data and logic, with a visual editor for further changes. | Recreate a real screen from your project, including its form validation and mobile layout. |
| Data and application behavior | Work with database tables and visual workflows. Connect the interface to the queries, variables and actions your user journey needs. | Adalo organizes app data into collections and relationships, with actions defining what happens when someone interacts with a component. | Test relationships, empty states, error handling and access rules with representative records. |
| Connections to other services | Configure external data requests and connect them to your application workflows. Check authentication and response fields for each service. | Adalo documents External Collections and integrations such as Xano and Zapier. Availability and limits depend on the connection and plan. | Run one authenticated request against your actual API before committing to a migration. |
| Publishing | The publishing workflow includes web publishing and Android and iOS build settings. Store distribution involves platform credentials, configuration and review. | Adalo supports publishing to the web, Apple App Store and Google Play. Review its current publishing documentation and plan requirements. | Verify the complete release path for your target platform, including accounts, certificates and updates. |
Plan the move as a rebuild of the app’s behavior and data connections. The checklist below gives you a way to evaluate the work before you move production users.
List its screens, actions, database fields, relationships and integrations. Choose a journey that includes both reading and changing data, such as a customer submitting a request.
Recreate that journey in a separate AppStruct project with a test dataset. Include loading, success and error states before expanding the screen count.
Decide how records, identifiers, relationships and attachments will map into the replacement app. Confirm which export and import paths your existing app and services actually support.
Test what a signed-out visitor, a normal account and an administrator can read or change. Plan an explicit account transition rather than assuming passwords or sessions transfer between platforms.
Check the app on target devices, confirm external services and prepare the release configuration. Keep the existing app available until the replacement has passed your acceptance checklist.
Work through one concrete flow with the service request app guide. It covers the request fields, form mapping and status changes to check in a small prototype.
Check the subscription, publishing and build limits, database and storage requirements, API usage and third-party services your app needs. For store distribution, include the relevant developer accounts and release process in your plan.
Use the live AppStruct pricing page and Adalo pricing page to verify current offers. A small working prototype will help you identify which capabilities your project actually uses.
This guide describes rebuilding your app’s screens, workflows and data connections. Before moving records or attachments, check the export and import capabilities of every system involved. Test the mapping on a small dataset.
Yes. AppStruct includes AI-assisted component creation, and Adalo describes Ada as an AI app builder. Evaluate the generated result against your own requirements, including behavior, data access and edge cases.
Use the same small end-to-end journey in both tools: a form, saved records, a list or detail view, access rules and one integration. Test it on the device your users will use.
The AppStruct workspace includes Docs, Sheets and Board for requirements, migration mapping and workflow planning alongside the app builder.
