A LITTLE STRUCTURE FOR THE FIRST IDEA

Start the session with somewhere to go.

Open a blank board or choose a starter for a brainstorm, a retrospective, a flowchart or a mind map. Add your ideas and let the picture take shape.

MAKE THE CONNECTIONS VISIBLE

Give a complex idea
a clearer shape.

Map a process, explore an idea tree or sketch the relationship between the moving parts. Keep the reasoning where you can see it.

  • A path through the process.

Connect shapes with straight, curved or elbow lines. Add labels and arrowheads to explain the direction.

  • Room for the next branch.

Grow a mind map with child and sibling ideas, then collapse a branch when you want to focus.

  • More ways to make the point.

Combine notes, text, drawings, images, shapes, cards and tables on the same canvas.

FROM A WALL OF NOTES TO A USEFUL PICTURE

Keep the ideas. Find the structure.

Give related thoughts a place together. Arrange the detail, add a frame around the conversation and make the next review easier to follow.

A LITTLE HELP WITH THE BIG PICTURE

Take the brainstorm
one step further.

Ask AI to build from a brief, generate ideas, cluster notes, summarize a discussion or suggest action cards. Review the proposed result and decide what belongs on your board.

BRING PEOPLE THROUGH THE PICTURE

A shared direction
starts with clear context.

Give each part of the discussion its own frame. Walk through the sequence, keep feedback close and leave the next action with somewhere to live.

  • A story beyond the whole canvas.

Present frames in order. Choose where to start and which frames to skip.

  • Feedback beside the work.

Comment on an object or a point, reply in a thread and resolve the discussion.

  • The right role for a teammate.

Share with existing workspace members as viewers, commenters or editors.

Account sharing and connected comments need an available Board service. Keep track of the board’s save status.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Still have a question? Talk to us

How can I start a board?

Start with a blank canvas or choose a Brainstorm, Retro, Flowchart, or Mind map starter. Each gives you editable notes, shapes, or frames to adapt to your own ideas.

What can I put on a board?

Add sticky notes, text, shapes, connectors, drawings, images, link cards, tables, frames, and mind maps. Group and align objects to make relationships clear. A board supports up to 5,000 objects.

Can I bring in existing notes and references?

Paste text or turn a list into separate sticky notes, drop supported images onto the canvas, and paste supported links as cards. You can also give AI text from notes, an outline, or a transcript to draft a board.

Can AI organize an existing brainstorm?

Yes. Ask AI to group selected notes, prioritize ideas, summarize them, or suggest actions, then review the preview before applying changes. AI needs a connection and an available service. It works with text; photo reading, handwriting recognition, image generation, and web research are not included.

Can I present ideas straight from the board?

Yes. Put related ideas inside frames, arrange their presentation order, and step through them in Present mode. Start from a chosen frame or skip frames that do not belong in the talk.

Can my team review a board?

Leave comments on objects or points on the canvas, reply in threads, and resolve discussions. When connected account sharing is available, give existing teammates in the same AppStruct workspace Viewer, Commenter, or Editor access.

Which formats can I export?

Export the board as PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF, or export sticky notes and cards as CSV. PNG can also target a selection or frame; PDF uses frames as pages. Images and embeds currently export as placeholders, so review the finished file before sharing it.

Where is my board saved?

Board saves your work in this browser, with local version checkpoints you can name, preview, and restore. Account sync needs an available connected service. Check the save status and keep a separate export of important work.

Do I need a separate account for each service?

No. Your AppStruct account gives you one place to access the services in your dashboard. See the pricing page for current plans and limits. View pricing →
